Every girl have more than 3 makeup bag, a small one put inside of the tote and take all time, a middle size could pack 2-3 days short trip and large one for long journey.

So do you know how to make a makeup bag from a large piece of material?

Today, we will show you how to get a “Tiger” make up bag.

Choose the fabric you like, normally used fabric are canvas with different patter, leathers, neoprene or nylon with water-resistance surface.

And well prepare lining fabric and other accessories like zipper, or other patch you like.

Cut the materials based on the bag size, do not forget the small pieces fabric as the small ear of our bag, which will make your bag looks more premium. And for this step you will need ruler and pen as well as scissors, don’t forget prepare them.

Then we go to stitch, put 2 pieces outer fabric front to front, make them even. Yes, we saw white with fuzzy tiger.Then leave the thread inside after stitching the bottom line follow the mark
Next, we open the stitched sheet and place flat, still only see white with fuzzy tiger, then place 2 layers lining on the correct place and align them to help reinforce the bag structure. If you like thicker bag, then can use a foam instead of the thin cotton fabric. To make it clear, from top to bottom, the outer fabric is 3^rd layer on the bottom, then 2^nd layer is thin white cotton, 1^st layer is the purple cotton. And don’t forget insert zipper tape on front and bottom edges of white and purple lining. If needed, you can iron the fabric to make it more neat and flat.

Now, let turnover. We can see tigers now. Then stitch the zipper from outside. Okay, we finish the major part of the bag.

Take out the 2 piece of 8x8cm fabric, then fold each piece 3 times to make it 2x8cm and stitch them. Now we have 2 pieces short strap. Then fold the length and stitch on the right side.

Ok, back to the bag major fabric. Put these 2 ears as below marked position and sew. Finish this, let’s wear the puller to the zipper. See, we are close to have the tiger makeup bag.

Let’s turnover the bag again. So we see the purple lining again, and put the whole bag flat and keep zipper in center. Then stitch the left&right side, also can add piping on left&right edge to improve our bag quality.

We need mark pen again, let’s draw 4 square like below picture. This will help us get the bag with 8cm depth. Then we need some clips to help us mark out the stitching line. To help better understand also marked out in below picture. We can cut the 4 corners after sew follow the mark, then piping the edges. If your sewing technique is great, just cut the corners and pipe directly. Till now, we finish all sewing.
